Essential Oil Blends
"We've got some presents from nature for everything, and in the right combination, you can use it to heal yourself."
What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is a way of absorbing the healing powers of nature through the power of scent.
In the right proportions and combinations, the therapeutic powers of these aromatic essential oils can benefit us in a holistic manner - with physical relief, as well as mental and emotional well-being.

Helping you relax is probably the most widely-known use of aromatherapy. Many essential oils act on your brain, nervous system, and muscles to promote feelings of comfort and relaxation. Essential oils are derived from any plant parts like flowers, leaves, fruits, or even the resin from the bark of the tree. They are derived through steam- distillation or cold-pressing methods, and the tiresome process leaves us with the very essence of the plant - and hence its powers to heal, revive, grow. Lavender, for example, affects the parasympathetic nervous system and helps regulate bodily processes such as heart rate, breathing, and hormones. Studies have shown that smelling lavender also increases certain patterns of alpha waves in the brain associated with relaxing.
HOW TO USE THE ESSENTIAL OIL BLENDS
FOR THE ANXIOUS MIND
Yes, it is quite common to be anxious, you are not the only one. And yes, there are ways to help yourself calm the nerves, and no, there is no need for any medications.
Here are a few simple steps:

1) Sit in a comfortable space and position and allow yourself to take 4 deep breaths. Ready?

2) Take a few drops of HOME SHANTI in the palm of your hands and rub them together for 4 seconds. Once warmed, apply it on your wrist, back of the neck, behind your ears, and the temples.

3) Now bring your palms close to you, gently close your eyes and take in the beautiful aroma. Take 4 deep breaths here again.

4) If you have the time, practise 4 rounds of Brahmri.

5) Gently rub your palms, make a cup over your eyes and gently open them. Now, look at that smile! :)

6) Smile, and feel the difference these 5 minutes make for you. :)
BHRAHMRI
Bhrahmri is a safe, easy-to-learn Pranayam, a breathing exercise with tremendous therapeutic potential.
Lengthening the exhalation relative to the inhalation activates its calming effect on the parasympathetic nervous system.

How to practise Bhramhri:
1. Apply a few drops of Home Shanti on your palms.

2. We simply begin by gently covering our senses, little fingers on the chin, ring fingers just below the nostrils, middle fingers placed on the centre of the nose, and index fingers lightly placed on closed eyes.

3. Now, gently start with humming "mmm.." a buzzing sound (like bees) and make it last as long as possible. You will feel the vibrations all over. Embrace them.
4. Practise bhrahmri for 5-7 breaths in one go. The noise of bhramari’s incessant buzzing can drown out the continuous chatter loop in the mind which leads to emotional suffering.

If you are someone who suffers from anxiety or gets anxious, apply "Home Shanti" and practise Bhramri everyday at least for a few minutes.
